We want you to "fall in lauf" with your new bike! That’s why we give you 30 days to ride it, test it, and see if it’s your perfect match. If it’s not, we’re here to help with a smooth return process.

Before You Return Your Lauf Bike

Small fit adjustments can make a big difference:

  • Saddle height
  • Stem position
  • Tire pressure

Trial Rules

The following may void or affect your return eligibility:

  • Racing or competitive events
  • Major modifications (including tubeless setups, chain waxing, or non-standard parts)
  • Missing original parts or accessories
  • Airline or heavy travel use causing abnormal wear
  • Excessive dirt or poor cleaning condition

How to Return Your Bike

1.       Submit the Bicycle Return Form within 30 days of delivery.

2.       Take clear photos of the bike and any wear areas.

3.       Pack the bike securely in the original box with all protective materials.

4.       Contact Lauf Customer Support for a return label.

5.       Ship the bike to the Lauf Cycles warehouse.

Packing videos:

Once the bike arrives and passes inspection, we’ll process your refund.

No original box? Your local bike shop can professionally pack the bike for you. Packing costs are not covered by Lauf Cycles.

Important Packing Information

Customers are responsible for proper packing and protection during return shipping.

Damage caused by insufficient packaging or unsecured parts may result in refund deductions.

Fees for All Returns and Exchanges

The original shipping fee of $99 USD is non-refundable.

Free Size Swaps

  • Lauf covers return shipping
  • No restocking fee applies
  • Bike must be returned in mint condition with all original parts and accessories

Minor scuffs may incur a refurbishment fee. Bikes with noticeable wear may be processed as standard returns.

Standard Returns

Returns for refunds, different models, or different colors are processed as a standard return and new order.

Restocking fees:

  • 1–14 days → $100
  • 15–30 days → $200

Lauf covers return shipping for standard returns.

Final refund amount may vary depending on bike condition.

Condition & Refunds

Mint (Excellent)

Almost no signs of riding.
 Refund: Full refund

Good

Light cosmetic wear or small scratches.
 Refund: 5% deduction

Fair

Visible scratches, scuffs, or drivetrain wear.
 Refund: 8–10% deduction

Poor

Heavy wear, dents, deep scratches, or damaged components.
 Refund: 15% deduction, partial refund, or no refund

Minor dust or light road dirt from normal testing is acceptable.

Inspection photos and notes will be shared if deductions apply.

Additional Fees

  • Missing or non-original parts: $5–$30 per item (chargers, cords, bar tape, or tires)
  • Reassembly/restoration to factory setup: $30 per item
  • Excessive cleaning required: $100

Examples include tire swaps, stem adjustments, or bar tape rewrapping.

Return Policy for Framesets, Components & Accessories

Eligibility

  • 14-day return period
  • Must be unused, mint condition, and in original packaging

Non-returnable items:

  • Water bottles
  • Used/worn bib shorts

Returns

  1. Submit the Components & Accessories Return Form within 14 days.
  2. Follow instructions from Customer Support.
  3. Ship using a tracked shipping service and provide tracking information.

NOTE:

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs on framesets, components, and accessories.

Lauf Cycles is not responsible for shipping damage caused by insufficient packaging.

Processing & Refunds

  • Inspections typically take up to 5 business days
  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Customers will be contacted regarding missing parts, damage, or ineligible returns
