Lauf Cycles Warranty Policy

Lauf products come with a 7-year warranty from the original purchase date, covering material and manufacturing defects for the first owner.

This includes all Lauf-made components—frames, forks, and handlebars.

If something’s not right, fill out the contact form below—we’ll look into it.

Second-hand owners are covered for 2 years from the original delivery date.
To verify eligibility, provide the frame or fork serial number.

No matter where you are, we aim to handle warranty claims consistently worldwide—we stand by our products.

Warranty Claim Process & Timeline

  • Claims typically take 5–15 business days to process
  • Timing depends on the issue, location, and part availability
  • Some cases may take longer—we appreciate your patience

If required, you may need to send the faulty product to Lauf for inspection.
We cover shipping for warranty claims where required by law, and in many cases we’ll take care of it for you.

Replacements & Labor

If a replacement product is issued:

  • The faulty item may need to be returned (it becomes Lauf property)
  • We cover shipping for warranty claims where required by law, and in many cases we’ll take care of it for you
  • We may cover reasonable bike rebuilding (labor) costs, with prior approval from Lauf Cycles

To qualify for labor reimbursement:

  • A quote must be reviewed and approved by Lauf in advance
  • Proof of payment must be provided after completion

If costs exceed standard rates, reimbursement may be limited.

For Lauf True Grit / Anywhere bikes more than 4 years old, Lauf covers 50% of frame swap labor costs (when applicable under warranty).

Note:

  • Third-party components (e.g. bottom brackets, brake hoses) are not covered—only labor costs may be eligible

Product Availability

If a warranted product is discontinued, Lauf may replace it with the closest available equivalent.

In some cases, a replacement may be supplied in a different color than the original.

Owner Responsibility

A bike that rides as well as a Lauf deserves proper care.

Owners are responsible for:

  • Correct assembly
  • Proper torque settings
  • Monitoring bearing wear
  • Regular servicing

Neglecting these steps may void your warranty.

What’s Not Covered

  • Paint damage after delivery and riding
(If you notice a defect out of the box, let us know)
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Misuse, neglect, or crashes
    (See Crash Replacement for support)
  • Modifications to frame, fork, or handlebars
    (drilling, sanding, structural changes, repainting)
  • Use of trailers or towing devices is not covered under this warranty.
  • Damage resulting from improper transport, packing, or storage
  • Mechanical labor itself isn’t covered under this warranty.
