Lauf Warranty Policy

Lauf products come with a 7-year warranty from the original purchase date, covering material and manufacturing defects for the first owner. This includes all Lauf-made components—frames, forks, and handlebars. If something’s not right, fill out the appropriate contact form here below, and we’ll get on it.

For second-hand owners, the warranty is 2 years from the original delivery date. To verify eligibility, simply provide the frame or fork serial number.

No matter where you are, Lauf handles warranty claims the same way worldwide—we stand by our products, always.

Warranty Claim Process & Timeline

Warranty claims typically take up to 5 to 15 business days to process, depending on the issue, your location, and part availability. We know downtime is no fun, so we aim to get you rolling again as fast as possible. That said, some cases take longer, and we appreciate your patience as we sort things out properly.

As part of the warranty claim process, you may be required to send the faulty product to Lauf for inspection. If so, Lauf will cover the shipping costs.

If you receive a replacement product from Lauf, you must return the faulty item, which will become Lauf’s property. Lauf covers shipping costs and will reimburse reasonable bike rebuilding costs with proof of payment from a bike shop. If costs exceed standard rates, Lauf may limit reimbursement. Lauf does not warranty mechanical labor.

Owner Responsibility

A bike that rides as well as a Lauf deserves proper care. Owners are responsible for proper assembly and maintenance, including checking torque settings, keeping an eye on bearing wear, and regular upkeep. Neglecting these can void your warranty—so treat your bike right, and it’ll return the favor.

What’s Not Covered

  • Paint damage after delivery and riding (if you notice a defect right out of the box, let us know!).
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Misuse, neglect, crashes (see Crash Replacement for crash-related support).
  • Any modifications to the frame, fork, or handlebars, including drilling, sanding, structural changes, or repainting.

Towing a trailer will void the warranty, please see this note.

3rd Party Components

Third-party components on your bike (e.g., groupset, wheels, saddle, stem) are covered by their respective manufacturers. Contact them directly for warranty claims:

If you run into a dead end with any of these, fill out the warranty form below, and we’ll do what we can to help.
