Seigla
Lauf Cycling and Pirate Cycling League are pleased to introduce the Limited Edition Pirate Cycling League Lauf Seigla!
Pirate Cycling League is a group of gravel-loving individuals who host the Gravel Worlds® in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Pirate Cycling League (PCL) was created to be an inclusive club for everyone. A team for the team-less that breaks down barriers to participation. So we encourage you all to get on your Lauf Seigla and go sail the gravel seas however that looks for you. Whether you prefer a 300+ mile adventure on the most difficult roads you can find, or a 10-mile journey down a flat road you will find the Lauf Seigla Pirate Cycling League edition will get you where your body wants to take you.
You don’t need to be a “member” of the Pirate Cycling League to purchase this bike. The PCL is simply a group of riders who welcome everyone in. Our only rule? Rule #1: BE COOL! Treat other people with respect and you’re welcome to be a pirate! We do sell team kit a few times a year, but you are more than welcome to simply call yourself a pirate and you’re cool in our book!

Designed by the Pirate Cycling League
We wanted a design that would look epic for all riders. We followed our pirate roots to design the color scheme of this bike. A very dark grey rounds out the majority of this bike. Gold metallic accents the bike to grab the attention of all riders around, because we know there’s nothing a pirate likes more than gold. Gold will be found on the down tube, inside of the front fork, and inside of the rear triangle as well as accent texts and logos. On the down tube, you will see the phrase “Sail the Gravel Seas” to push you on all your adventures! On the top tube you will see the one and only rule “Rule #1: BE COOL” to remind us all to be good pirates to all our fellow cyclists. The bike will be finished in a satin finish because we all know a pirate is never high gloss and shiny.
This design will no doubt turn heads at your next group ride, whether you call yourself a member of the Pirate Cycling League or not.
What is the Pirate Cycling League?
The Pirate Cycling League was founded in 2007 by a group of friends who were tired of the rules and regulations of most cycling teams events at the time. We wanted to create a team that was welcome to every rider of all abilities and from all genres of cycling. The Pirate Cycling League was formed with one rule: Rule #1: BE COOL! If you ever see a person in a Pirate Cycling League kit or on a Pirate Cycling League bike, you know that person is cool and kind. We encourage every rider to look at the PCL as an opportunity for community and connection. While we do mostly focus on gravel cycling, we invite riders from every genre and ability to “Fly the Flag” and show their pirate pride. *IRM stands for Lauf’s Impact Resistant Modulus carbon fiber layup. We like to achieve our low frame weights through careful shape and layup designs combined with good manufacturing methods, rather than using more brittle high-modulus or intermediate-modulus carbon fibers. We believe a carbon gravel bike frame should not just be light, it should also be strong. Lauf frames represent our preferred combination of the two. *Specs may change without notice. Components may be exchanged with same level or higher level components.
